KYRA BANCROFT
Physiotherapist - Kyra Bancroft Physiotherapy
Sticking close to home, Kyra recently completed both her bachelor of science in kinesiology and physiotherapy masters degrees at Queen’s University. During her time as a strength and conditioning intern, Kyra worked closely alongside the Queen’s varsity athletes from both the women’s hockey and rugby teams. From this experience she learned quickly of her particular interest in injury prevention as well as program modification for those who were considered injury reserve and looking to return-to-play. She also possesses a background in exercise science research, allowing the development of several skills in the realm of locating and implementing evidence-based practice.
In her practice, Kyra views education and self management as a cornerstone, ensuring patients have the tools they need for success outside of their treatment sessions. She is keen to offer personalized and quality care with the goals of injury rehabilitation, function restoration and performance optimization. Kyra believes that whether a weekend warrior, an aspiring or current athlete, or an individual of ANY AGE/activity level, finding the right balance between manual therapy and exercise is key.
